    Description

    Join Express Communication Therapy, a growing pediatric clinic in High Point, NC, dedicated to helping children and families thrive through compassionate, family-centered care. We are seeking a motivated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP/CFY) who values collaboration, flexibility, and making a meaningful impact in the lives of children.

     

    This clinic-based position offers flexible scheduling, a supportive team environment, consistent referrals, and opportunities for professional growth. CFY candidates are encouraged to apply, and mentorship/supervision is available. Therapists benefit from a strong referral base, organized clinic setting, and no home health driving between clients.

    Median Pay and Range

    Our current full-time SLP compensation varies based on experience, productivity, and credentials (CFY vs. CCC-SLP). The typical pay range for this position is approximately $38–$42 per completed session, with evaluation compensation ranging from approximately $75–$100 per evaluation.

    Most full-time SLPs with a consistent caseload earn within a competitive range for pediatric outpatient therapy in the High Point, NC area. Compensation may increase based on productivity, experience, bilingual skills, and additional clinical competencie

    Full Pay Rate for All Hours Worked?

    No, rate is not the same for all hours worked.

    • SLPs will be paid their direct rate ($38—$42/visit) for each session completed. Most sessions are 30 minutes long.
    • SLPs are paid $75—$100 per evaluation completed.
    • Full-time SLPs (45-50 clients per week, or approx 40 hours per week) will also be paid for 2 hours of indirect time per week at a rate of $30/hr.

    Pay Rate Determiners

    Compensation is determined based on several factors, including clinical experience, credentials (CFY vs. CCC-SLP), productivity, pediatric therapy experience, bilingual skills, AAC experience, scheduling availability, documentation timeliness, and overall clinical performance.

    The lower end of the pay range typically applies to newer graduates, CFY candidates, or therapists with limited pediatric experience who may require additional mentorship and training while building independence and caseload consistency.

    The higher end of the pay range is generally reserved for experienced CCC-SLPs who demonstrate strong clinical skills, maintain consistent attendance and productivity, complete documentation and evaluation reports promptly, manage a full caseload independently, and contribute positively to team collaboration and family communication. Additional specialized skills such as AAC experience, bilingual Spanish proficiency, feeding therapy experience, and flexibility with scheduling may also support higher compensation.

    Skills And Competencies

    Required / Desired Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong pediatric speech and language therapy skills
    • Ability to evaluate and treat speech, language, articulation, fluency, voice, and pragmatic disorders
    • Experience or interest in working with children with autism spectrum disorder and developmental delays
    • Knowledge of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) preferred
    • Ability to create individualized treatment plans and measurable goals
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Timely and accurate documentation skills
    • Ability to collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams
    • Compassionate, patient, and child-centered approach to therapy
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills
    • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced clinic environment
    • Ability to build rapport with children and families
    • Spanish bilingual skills preferred but not required
    • Experience with pediatric feeding therapy is a plus (if applicable)
    • Familiarity with Medicaid and insurance documentation requirements preferred
    • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
