    Description

    Morgan Hill Speech is a therapist-owned pediatric clinic dedicated to creating meaningful change in the lives of children and families. We believe great therapy happens when clinicians feel supported, respected, and valued. Our collaborative team provides clinic-based services to a diverse pediatric population ranging from preschool through high school. We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist who is passionate about providing engaging, relationship-based therapy that empowers children and supports families. Our productivity expectations are intentionally lower than many clinic settings so therapists can focus on learning, providing thoughtful care, and building meaningful connections with clients and families. At Morgan Hill Speech, all new clinicians receive strong mentorship and guidance while developing confidence in assessment, treatment planning, and family collaboration. You will work alongside experienced therapists who enjoy sharing ideas, collaborating during staff lunches, and supporting one another’s growth.     Full Pay Rate for All Hours Worked?

    Non-billable time is paid at an admin rate of $25/hr. Clients are only allowed 2 cancels per quarter— this is strictly enforced. These cancellations are paid at the admin rate unless that time is filled with a rescheduled session. No-shows are paid at the billable rate. Therapists get 1 hour of billable time to write up an assessment report and can bill additional time at the admin rate if needed.

    Client Availability and Impact on Pay

    Cancellations are paid at the admin rate of $25/hr. 

    Pay Rate Determiners

    The minimum pay range is for an SLP with less than 2 years of pediatric experience who is completing 36 billable visits (45 minutes each visit) per week. This equates to 27 hours per week of billable time paid at $49.50 per hour, plus an $8 bonus per visit, plus 13 hours per week available for admin time paid at $25 per hour. 

     

    The maximum pay range is for an SLP with more than 3 years of pediatric experience completing 40 billable visits per week (45 minutes each visit) per week. This equates to 30 hours per week of billable time paid at $52 per hour plus a $12 bonus per visit, plus 10 hours per week available for admin time paid at $25 per hour.

    CFs may apply. CFs are paid using the same structure as described above, but at a slightly lower rate.

    Quality

    Schedule

    Our clients are scheduled from 9 am–5 pm Monday–Thursday and 9 am–1 pm on Fridays. We currently see clients 4.5 days per week with Friday afternoons available for admin, staff meetings, or an extended weekend! I would be flexible to a 10 am–6 pm workday if that worked better for an employee's schedule.

    Additional Work Hours

    For the past two years we have done an annual CEU retreat where we spend Friday–Sunday at an Airbnb. Fridays are for training and paid at the admin rate. Saturday and Sunday are for fun activities and are unpaid. The accommodation is paid for, and the food costs are split.

    A new SLP with less than 2 years of experience would be expected to schedule a minimum of 36 visits per week, which equals 27 billable hours per week. Once an SLP is familiar with our policies and procedures and feels comfortable, our expected productivity is scheduling 40 visits per week, which equates to 30.75 billable hours.

    Max 41 sessions per week. Typically, 45 minutes per session. We do have a small number of 60-minute sessions for our EI kids.

    Parental Leave Policy

    MORGAN HILL SPEECH provides unpaid family and medical leave to eligible employees in accordance with the California Family Rights Act (CFRA). To be eligible for CFRA leave:

    • You must have been employed for at least 12 months (52 weeks) with the Company prior to beginning CFRA leave; and
    • You must have worked for the Company for at least 1,250 hours during the 12-month period immediately before the leave is to start. 
       

    You may take CFRA leave for the following reasons:

    • The birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child. To care for your own or your family member's serious health condition (not including disability due to pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions). 
    • A qualifying exigency related to your spouse, domestic partner, child, or parent who is a military member on covered active duty or called to covered active-duty status (or has been notified of an impending call or order to covered active duty). 

       

    Eligible employees may take up to 12 work weeks of leave per leave year. For purposes of this policy, the leave year is the calendar year. You may elect to use any accrued vacation time or other accrued paid time off that you are eligible to take during the otherwise unpaid portion of the CFRA leave. You also may elect to use any accrued sick leave that you are eligible to take during the otherwise unpaid portion of CFRA leave if the CFRA leave is for your own serious health condition, a qualifying exigency, or any other reason mutually agreed to between you and the Company.

    • Conduct initial evaluations of clients to determine an appropriate treatment plan based on their needs with support from your clinical supervisor as needed
    • Provide therapy to a varied caseload ranging from early intervention to high school with support from your supervisor as needed
    • Write and maintain daily notes, progress reports and assessment reports that meet the payor requirements (we have multiple templates available)
    • Work collaboratively with other professionals on the child's team
    • Make modifications to treatment plans based on new information collected through evaluations.
    • Evaluate program effectiveness and make adjustments as needed.
    • Be an excellent communicator; we value open, transparent communication with our clients and their families
    • Have strong organizational and time management skills
    • Develop sessions that are fun, creative and focused on building relationships
    • Be passionate about your role as an SLP and the positive change you are creating for the families you work with

    Yes; MORGAN HILL SPEECH prioritizes a harmonious work environment that minimizes disruption to business operations and respects the focus of employees, visitors, and others. Our nonsolicitation/nondistribution policy aims to ensure a balanced approach to interactions within the workplace. For the purposes of this policy, solicitation includes various activities such as selling items or services, seeking contributions, or seeking support for an organization.     Training program: Our clinical fellowship experience supports your personal learning style and gradually guides you towards independence. Our goal is to develop dynamic, confident clinicians equipped to work with a variety of clients. We provide you with:

    • Dedicated Onsite Mentorship: An onsite CF supervisor allows the fellowship experience to be tailored to each clinician’s learning style and individual goals. At minimum, fellows participate in weekly mentorship meetings during the first six months, with ongoing consultation and support available throughout the fellowship year.
    • Gradual Caseload Growth: Expected productivity of 65-70% (e.g. 24 hours per week of direct patient time in a 36-hour week) for first 6 months, allowing new clinicians to gradually build their caseload. Suggested gradual increase from approximately 32 visits per week for 1st 3 months to 35 visits for 2nd 3 months and 38 visits for last 3 months.
    • Flex Scheduling: Our weekly schedule is designed to support both clinical excellence and work-life balance. We schedule 4.5 days of productivity with Friday p.m.'s open for admin; staff meetings or an extended weekend!
    • Weekly Team Connection: We gather for shared staff lunches each week, creating a relaxed space for collaboration, brainstorming, mentorship, or simply connecting as a team. We foster and encourage collaboration between our team, meaning you will have access to the skills and talents of all our seasoned therapists.
    • Structured Onboarding and Training: A two-week paid onboarding experience designed to support a smooth transition into clinical practice. During this time, fellows have opportunities to observe therapy sessions, learn clinic procedures, explore therapy materials, and become familiar with our clinical approach.
