Skills And Competencies
Required / Desired Skills & Competencies:
• Strong pediatric speech and language therapy skills
• Ability to evaluate and treat speech, language, articulation, fluency, voice, and pragmatic disorders
• Experience or interest in working with children with autism spectrum disorder and developmental delays
• Knowledge of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) preferred
• Ability to create individualized treatment plans and measurable goals
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Timely and accurate documentation skills
• Ability to collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams
• Compassionate, patient, and child-centered approach to therapy
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced clinic environment
• Ability to build rapport with children and families
• Spanish bilingual skills preferred but not required
• Experience with pediatric feeding therapy is a plus (if applicable)
• Familiarity with Medicaid and insurance documentation requirements preferred
• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
