Student Membership FAQ

Who counts as a student?

Our content is written for speech–language pathologists. However:

• Undergraduate students are welcome to join TISLP. Just note that terms won’t be explained, so it may be harder to understand until you’re further into your program.
• Graduate students are a good fit for TISLP, because you have enough of a foundation to understand our content.
• Students and professionals in related fields (e.g., occupational therapy) are welcome to join, as some content may be relevant to their courses and careers as well.

What’s the difference between student membership and regular (SLP) membership?

The content is all the same, but students have no access to Continuing Education (CE) features or tracking. Student membership also requires verification (questions we ask and track to confirm student status).

After my student membership expires, does it switch to an SLP membership?

No. We won’t move you onto a new plan without your consent! We will email you with a discount on SLP membership during your CF year, though, and this discount is only sent to people who were previously on a student plan.
