So many tests, so little time… well, not when it comes to Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA). A lack of strong measures specific to PPA or that differentiate between PPA variants, coupled with its relatively young onset age and initially mild presentation of symptoms, has made PPA a tough disorder to diagnose.

In this study, Foxe et al. attempted the unthinkable—to develop a calculator to determine the PPA variant based on a general cognitive screener.
