We’ve talked before about the role of the SLP in supporting patients and their families at the end of life, including the physician’s perspective on barriers and facilitators to providing good palliative care. But let’s back it up a bit. What happens before the decision is made to palliate? How do caregivers’ make that transition from curative to palliative, and what is the role of the SLP?
