The CDC’s developmental monitoring program (LTSAE) is generally valued and accepted by teachers and parents in the Head Start setting.

Milestones. Love them or hate them, they are a helpful point of reference for parents and teachers. The CDC has a program, Learn the Signs. Act Early (LTSAE), that provides free developmental monitoring resources to the general public. The goal of LTSAE is to help increase early identification of children with developmental delays and disabilities by getting caretakers up to speed on what to expect at certain ages and stages.
