A weakness of many assessments of the strengths and needs of autistic people is that they don’t explicitly include autistic voices in their development, so they may not fully accurately capture what autistic people themselves identify as difficulties. Test items may be written from a neurotypical point of view, needing revision to be relevant, respectful, and sensitive to autistic adults.
